Scott passed away on June 8th, 2015 at home in Payette, Idaho due to complication of diabetes.

Scott was born on March 28, 1961 in Emmett, Idaho. He joined brother, Steve, and was followed by his younger brother, Will. In 1967 Phil McDermott Roe married Eloise and her three little boys becoming their devoted Dad. They lived in Ontario and Prineville, Oregon, and Sweet and Payette, Idaho. He also spent many happy hours in Ironside, Oregon at the family ranch and at Grandma and Grandpa Butler’s farm in Sweet. Scott and his brothers were very close in age, and were referred to by family as “The Little Boys.”

Scott worked at various jobs, Big O Tire, logging, and construction. Scott was a great handyman who could repair anything, fixing items most of us would throw away. Scott lived with his parents in Payette and helped take tender care of his mother before she passed away in 2012.

Scott loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Scott developed Type II diabetes, Graves eye disease and thyroid problems. Despite running 3 miles  a day, six days a week, and eating healthy, he was not able to stop the progress of his health problems. Scott maintained a very positive attitude despite all his health issues and life’s disappointments. He was a joy to be around. He was always willing to helping to anyone, and was a great help to his grandmother in Sweet.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise; grandfather, Boyd Butler; and grandparents, Carl and Bonnie McDermott Roe.

He is survived by his father, Phil McDermott Roe; children, Tiffany of Fruitland, Logan and Jordan of Twin Falls; one grandson, John  Jr.; brothers, Steve(Valerie) of Sweet, Idaho and Will of Seattle, Washington; grandmother, Myrtle Butler of Sweet, Idaho as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins , nephews and nieces, and his beloved dog, Patch.
