Scott Anthony Brooks, age 46, of West Lafayette passed away in Lafayette, IN on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. He was born November 17, 1962, in Lafayette, the son of Larry and the late Marjorie Anne (Phegley) Brooks. Scott was raised in Rensselaer, graduating with the class of 1982 from Rensselaer Central High School.
He had been employed for 8 years at Wabash National in Lafayette. Scott was also a part-owner of the former Brooks Motor Sales in Rensselaer where he sold cars and managed fuel sales. He attended the Kossuth Street Baptist Church in Lafayette. Scott was a past member of Prairie Lodge #125 F&AM, Scottish Rite-Valley of Indianapolis and Shriner’s Murat Temple of Indianapolis.
He was previously married to Wanda Manns and Betty Bubalo. Scott is survived by Larry (wife Joan) Brooks of Rensselaer, Father, Stephanie Brooks, Naperville, IL, Daughter, Allison Brooks, Grovertown, IN, Daughter, Anthony Brooks, Grovertown, IN, Son, Nicholas Brooks, Naperville, IL, Grandson, Michael (wife Janet) Brooks, West Lafayette, Brother and Julie (husband Dave) Westfall, Joliet, IL, Sister.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
