Born January 3, 1961 in Williamsport, he was a son of Kenneth E. Terry, Sr. and Sandra E. Lunt Yocum.
Scott was a graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, and NASCAR.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sandra E. and James L. Yocum of Williamsport, his father Kenneth E. Terry, Sr. of Jersey Shore, a sister Tonya L. (Frank) Diruscio of Hershey, a brother Kenneth E. (Jayme) Terry of Oklahoma, and his cat, Secret.
