Savannah Jean Roy, 27 years young, of Bemidji, Minnesota and the Bear Clan began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 from her home in Bemidji, MN. She was born on February 29, 1992 in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Marcella Roy and Charles Parkhurst.
Savannah grew up and attended school in Red Lake, graduating from Red Lake High School in 2009. She was raised by her mother Marcy and her grandparents Butch and Arlene Jourdain. After high school, she received a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Redby. Savannah moved to Bemidji, where she held numerous jobs. She also worked for the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls for a short time. She enjoyed cooking big meals and being surrounded by her family and friends, she also liked watching different series on Netflix. Savannah was a very caring and kind woman with a big heart; that was stolen the moment she had her son Marcell. She absolutely loved spending time with him and her family.
Family that Savannah is reunited with are her mom, Marcella Roy; aunt, Vicky Roy; uncle, Randy Erickson; grandparents, Arlene Jourdain, Butch Jourdain and Randy and Marlene Parkhurst and several other relatives.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Marcell Neadeau of Red Lake; father, Charles (Kristen) Parkhurst of Red Lake; brothers, Randy DeFoe and Mylen “Tre” Brummond III both of Red Lake; Wynter Parkhurst of Red Lake; uncles, Clayton (Karyn) Jourdain, Sr., Christopher (Sheila) Erickson, Sr. and Mike Parkhurst; aunties, Kelly Jourdain, Colleen Erickson, Crystal (Lee) Kaml and Kelly (Hans) Gregory; grandfather, John Stately; Godparents, Victor Roy, Jr. and Lynelle Sue Roy, special moms, Tammy Cobenais and Lisa Sumner, special brothers, Rekoe Graves and Oscar Hart; special sisters, Cartera Barrett, Stormie Graves and Micayla Reynolds, numerous cousins, other family and many friends.
