Sarah T. Blakely, 82, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the former wife of the late Roy F. Blakely, Sr. Born in Cambridge, MA, Sarah was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Russell) Curran.
Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. Sarah had also worked as a telephone operator and for the Boston Edison for many years. She later worked for the Woonsocket Housing Authority, retiring in 2007.
Sarah is survived by her son, Roy F. Blakely, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Plainville, MA, by her five daughters, Katherine Lawler and her husband James, Theresa Lapierre and her husband Kenneth, all of Woonsocket, Karen Lozeau and her husband Michael of Smithfield, Elizabeth Medellin and her husband Jose of Love Valley, NC, and Maureen LaChapelle and her husband Normand of Blackstone, MA, her brother, Edward Curran of MA, seventeen precious grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her twin brother John Curran and her sister, Mary Rossi.
