Sarah Sweeting, 95, of Cassopolis, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 in West Woods of Niles, Niles. She was born September 10, 1915 in Lexington, Mississippi to Pastor Henry and Missionary Carrie (Brown) Ingram. She married Harcourt T. Sweeting in Chicago, Illinois.
He preceded her in death in 1973. Also preceding her in death was daughter, Diane Burns; grandson, Seba, great granddaughter, Jade; seven brothers and one sister.She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois.
Sarah is survived by two daughters, Judy (Jewell) Miller of College Park, Georgia, and Sara (Chaplain Carl) Ross of Cassopolis; five grandchildren, Marcianelle, Carl, Jr. (Tiauna), Charles, Sherman, and Sekim; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; three sister-in-laws, Caroline, Dear and Mildred; one brother, Robert Ingram of Mississippi, and a host of nieces and nephews.
