Mrs. Sarah Sarratt McCluney, 80, of 1317 Kimery Dr. died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her residence.
Sarah was born on September 17, 1932 to the late Nathaniel Hoey and Etta Sarratt Tate in Gaffney, South Carolina. She was a 1949 graduate of Granard High School in South Carolina.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. McCluney; brother, Bobby Hoey; sister, Macy Miller; and granddaughter, Alicia M. McCluney. Surviving relatives include six children, Theresa Hayes, Thomas M. McCluney (Kim), Larry McCluney, Patricia Hayes, Richard L. McCluney (Yvonne), and David J. McCluney (Mamie); fifteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
