Sarah Matthews Elliott, 99, passed away on April 14, 2016. She was born January 20, 1917 in Randleman, N.C. and as a young adult Sarah taught school in North Carolina and worked for the Foreign Policy Institute in New York City. She married her husband, Jack, in 1949 and the family moved from New York to Florida in 1957.
Sarah was the librarian at Cocoa Beach High School for 20 years and earned the Minuteman Award in 1986, the year of her retirement.
