Graveside Funeral Services for Sarah Margaret Strickland, age 84, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, October 25, 2021, will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11:00 am at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at McDonald Funeral Home.Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Jacob Gill will officiate the service.A native of Gulfport, MS, she was a retired Telephone Operator with Bellsouth Telephone Company. Margaret loved being in her yard, gardening and visiting with family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents, William P. Hamilton and Carrie Margaret Jordan Hamilton; her husband, Marvin Lee Strickland; her sisters, Rita Hudson, Valerie Ellisberrie, Patsy Bobinger, and Carol Moran; and brothers, Walter Hamilton and Billy “Tiger” Hamilton.Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters, Leo R. (MaryAnn) Hamilton, Bessie Winstead, Beatrice Prestwood, Donnie Hamilton, and Barbara Taranto; numerous nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Ms Sarah Greely.
