Sarah Jane Young, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, died Monday, July 4th, 2022 after a long battle with depression. Sarah was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for how fiercely she loved, how deeply she cared, and her knack for turning an ordinary day into an action packed adventure. She was fearless and inspired those around her to think big and pursue their dreams by any means.
Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents Gordon Young, Nora Young, Donald Gould, and Beverly Gould, and her father Terry Young. Sarah is survived by her sons Benjamin (Mariah) and Dominique McGrew of Great Falls, and Brady Smelser of Power , her mother Jean Scoates of Ulm, sisters Rebecca (Joshua) Brown, Nichole Benton, and Jamie (Melvin) Young, step-mom Kathy Wesland and step-siblings Mike (Geneva) Joseph, Nicki Dyson, and Brittany (Tyrek) Becote along with her many nieces and nephews: Scotlen & Scarlett Brown, Jaemyn, Jaylynne, & Rielyn Benton, Bryson & Jada Williams, Austin Enriquez, Allisyn Wright, Aaron & Ashley Joseph, Aiden Dyson, and Arabella Ewing. She is also survived by aunts Nada (Beecher) Leversee and Nova Lee Young, uncles Greg (Aimee) Gould and Toby (Elaine) Young and many cousins including Amber Gould of Spokane. Sarah leaves behind many dear friends including Christina Hall, Steven Herring, and Nicole Cook of Great Falls.
