Sarah Cox Peyton passed away on September 26, 2022, at Merit Health River Region. She was 85.
Sarah was born on September 11, 1937, the daughter of Louis Cox and Lena Maude Jiles Cox. She worked for Claiborne County Soil & Water Conservation District for 16 years. She was a member of Christian Women’s Fellowship and Utica Christian Church. She loved being outside taking care of her rose bushes and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Peyton, her parents and sisters Eloise Messemore and Frances Collins.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Wilson (Randy), sons John G. Peyton and David Peyton, and grandchildren Sara Wilson and Peyton Wilson.
