  • Date Of Birth: December 14, 1930
  • Date Of Death: July 16, 2018
  • State: Connecticut

Sarah Adele Daversa, the daughter of the late Pearl and George (Ball) Holden, was born on December 14, 1930 in Northumberland County, Virginia. Sarah was educated in the public schools of Northumberland County. At an early age, she moved to Connecticut where she was employed at Connecticut Valley Hospital and worked there until retirement.

She enjoyed her life there, making many friends over the years that were more like family than friends. Sarah enjoyed life; she was known for her stylish sense of fashion and loving to do her make-up. Upon her return trips to her family-home in Virginia, Sarah would take so long getting ready. Everyone else would be ready to go and she would still be doing her make-up. She was also very outgoing and liked to keep busy.

On Monday July 16, 2018, Sarah began a new journey joining her beloved brothers and sisters: James “Duke” Holden, Ulysses Holden, and Earl “Bill” Holden; Beatrice Holden, Pauline Washington, Mattie Gorman, Ida Mae Muse, Daisy Dameron, and Lucille Darby.      Sarah is survived by one sister, Irma Lee Muse of Lottsburg, VA, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Letter from Torey

To my Auntie Adele, I have always loved and admired you for your heart, beauty, and style. You have always been so attentive to me, sending me a birthday card every year since I was three. As

I got older you would say it may not be on time, but your card is on the way. I will miss our phone conversations talking about any and everything or sometimes you calling me just to sing. I

could go on and on about the love I’ve had for you from the start, but for now I will just say until we meet again you will always be in my heart.

-love, Torey
