Sara “Sally” (Fenner) HopperJune 6, 1938 – May 12, 2021 age 82 of West Chester (East Goshen), PASara “Sally” (Fenner) Hopper passed away at the Paoli Hospital after a short, hard fought illness. Sally was the beloved mother of Jeanne L. Bradly of West Chester PA and Samuel C. Bradly, III and his wife Ann M. (Hugo) of Newtown Square, PA. and cherished grandmother of John B. Moorehead of Falmouth, MA, and Samuel C. Bradly and Steven C. Bradly, of Newtown Square PA. The love of her life, C. Douglas (Doug) Hopper, predeceased her on March 23, 2019. Sally is also survived by her loving sister, Geraldine Harf, of Johnson City, NY, her niece Sandra Marca and her husband William, of Johnson City, NY, her nephew Robert Hartung and his wife Dina, of Endwell, NY and her niece Nancy Heitmann and her husband Matthew, of Clay, NY, and also by Doug’s son, Gregory Hopper and his wife Maria, of Raleigh, NC, and all of their respective families.Sally was a 1956 graduate of Upper Darby High School and a 1959 graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, PA, where she proudly earned the title of Registered Nurse. Upon graduation from nursing school, Sally served for a short time as a nurse in the Air National Guard. Sally worked as a Registered Nurse at various facilities in the Philadelphia suburbs for her entire career, eventually retiring from Main Line Health in 2006.Sally reconnected with her childhood friend, Doug, in 2006, and together they had a very happy 13 years together, spending their time in both Fort Myers, FL and West Chester, PA, and visiting family and friends.Sally also treasured her many friends, and several of those friendships spanned the course of 75 + yearsMom was always our greatest supporter and the cornerstone of our family. We will miss her so very much but are confident that she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who passed before family wishes to acknowledge and thank the 4B nursing staff at Paoli Hospital for the compassionate care provided to mom in her final hours, and also the incredible Main Line Health Home Care & Hospice nursing staff, who provided such wonderful care to mom these past few months.
