Sara Newhouse Parker
Passed away August 30, 2010 at the age of 66. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a true friend. Sara was a woman of faith, kindness and love. She is survived by her loving husband, Ed of 44 years, daughter Lisa, son Michael (wife Melissa) two grandchildren, Mikayla and Zachary. Her mother Jan Newhouse Braund of Wooster, Ohio and two sisters Jane and Mary Ann. Sara was the oldest of three children raised in Wooster, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Nursing which she pursued most of her life. She was an avid Ohio State football fan and sports enthusiast. Sara married her high school sweetheart and began a family. They moved from their Ohio home to Reno, Nevada then Moraga, California and retired in Scottsdale, Arizona. Along this journey, she gathered devoted friends keeping her family close at hand. She was a member of Moraga Woman’s Society and in Scottsdale, she was a member of DC Ranch 9-Holers, Bible Study group and Bridge Club. Sara welcomed and embraced the many people who came into her life. She always energized any place she entered. Each of us, family and friends, have been enriched by knowing and loving her.
