Sara Lou Vause Kehm, beloved wife and mother and great friend to many, passed away on August 10, 2011. She was 88.
Sara was born on October 7, 1922 in Pearson, Georgia to George Henry and Minnie Lee (Pafford) Vause. She was the fifth child of seven children. There were five boys and two girls, all of whom are deceased.
In December of 1945 she married John Max Kehm of Baltimore, Maryland. They were married 55 years before his death in March of 2001.
She was a lifetime member of the Lambda chapter of Chi Sigma sorority. She was also a member of Sweet Adelines, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Jim Hoerter) of Big Rapids and one son, Jack (Sharon Borgerding) of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren: Kellie Kehm and Kristie Koehn of Denver; Christopher Hoerter of Provo, Utah, Sara Kearl of Mountain View, California and Ann Hoerter of Laurel, Maryland; and three great-grandchildren.
