Sara Judy Lassetter, age 84 of Sharpsburg, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011. She was born April 28, 1927 in Bibb County, Ga to the late Raymond Alfred Yancey and Mattie Floyd Yancey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George C. Lassetter, Jr.,brother, Bobby Yancey and sister, Raye Y. North. She was a member of Coke Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lassetter is survived by her sister, Connie Y. Sprayberry from Raleigh, NC., three children, Elaine Lassetter, Kaye Beam and her husband Tony, Dr. George C. Lassetter III and his wife Kathy from Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren; Richie Beam and Kevin Beam and his wife Cathy; three great grandchildren; R.V. Beam, Sara Beam and Luke Beam and a great family friend Dorothy Winkles.
