Sara Hayes Davis Tift passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the age of ninety-eight from natural causes.
She lived a long life of joy and love. After marrying Van Davis and graduating from the University of Georgia in 1943, they moved to Douglas, Georgia in 1948.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Davis (1987) and Robert Tift (2018).
Survivors include son, Andy Davis of Dalton, GA; daughter, Sarolyn Davis of Knoxville, TN; step-sons, John D. (Valerie) Persons of Midlothian, VA and Sam (Becky) Tift of High Springs, FL; sister-in-law, Ann Davis (Fred) Gunter of Augusta, GA; four grandsons, Drew (Carol) Davis, Doug (Kerry) Davis, Wade (Angie) Youngblood and Lyn (Jennifer) Youngblood.
