DURHAM Mrs. Sara Ann Ramsey, 82, of Durham, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
Mrs. Ramsey was born in Mullins, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Norton and Mary Lou Smith Norton. She owned and operated Rainbow Carpet Cleaners in Durham. Ann played High School basketball and was on the Mullins High School team that won the state championship in Marion County, SC. Ann will be remembered as the most loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church and served as church clerk for over 20 years. She was very involved with Boy Scout Troop 490 at the church where her sons and three grandsons achieved Eagle Scout. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Ramsey, Sr.; son, David Norton Ramsey; brothers, Charles, Albert, Frank Norton and Carroll Norton.
She is survived by her three children, Don Ramsey (Jamie), Darrell Ramsey (Debra) and Doug Ramsey (Janie); grandchildren, Justin Ramsey (Chelcie) Kyle Ramsey (Tracey), Austin Ramsey (Ashley), Kelley Ramsey, Jake Ramsey (Morgan), Will Ramsey (Kim), Blaire Ramsey (Billy); nine great-grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
