Sanford M. Bilbrey, 84, Anderson, died October 24, 2002 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born February 18, 1918 in Monterey, TN, and resided in Anderson, IN. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a Plastics Operator with Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, retiring in 1976, after 31 yrs. of service.
He served in the United States Army during WWII He attended Southern Heights Christian Church in Anderson and was a member of UAW Local #663 in Anderson and the Retiree Craft Club of UAW Local #663.
He is survived by his Daughter, Patricia L. Barth of Anderson, Sister, Jewell husband, Tom Nelson of Kokomo, Two grandchildren, Julie husband, Kent Overton of Greenfield, IN and Jeffrey wife, Rachel Barth of Hot Springs, AR, Two greatgrandchildren, Sydney & Kennedy Overton, both of Greenfield, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie L. Short Bilbrey, who died May 18, 2002, parents, Eugene & Etta Miller Bilbrey, sisters, Lue Essie Bilbrey Callahan, Catherine Lu Vela Bilbrey, Ethelene Bilbrey Jerrigon, Lora Bilbrey Stamps, Dimple Bilbrey Krantz; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Barth .
