Sandra (Martinelli) Scott, 54, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Newington, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, daughter of Stanley and Lorraine (Satthoff) Martinelli of Clearwater, Sandy lived in Newington for most of her life before recently moving to Florida. She devoted her life to her family and raising her daughters. She generously volunteered her time to the Newington Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Newington Junior Women’s Club and other various organizations in town. Additionally, she had a passion for cooking and collecting recipes, the beach, gardening, crocheting and playing scrabble. A loving and devoted mother, she leaves three daughters, Jennifer Culhane and her husband John of East Stroudsburg, Pa, Laura Scott and Kelly Scott, both of Newington. She also leaves her sister Michelle Martinelli of Newington; aunts and uncle Marti and Frank Witt of Rocky Hill, and Gloria Careb of Waterbury; extended family and many friends; and her beloved cat Dinky. She was pre-deceased by her brother Michael Martinelli.
