Sandra Lee Shaheen, 63, of Cocoa Beach, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Sandy, as she was known by family was born on August 29, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Robert Charles and Marie Josephine Mulligan.
Sandy attended elementary school at Our Saviour’s Catholic School, and attended Cocoa Beach High School, before attending the University of South Florida. Sandy proudly worked for NASA for over 25 years.
Family and friends were Sandy’s love and joy. Every birthday and holiday was spent together sharing great memories and great food.
Sandy is survived by her three children, David R. Shaheen, Erica M. Shaheen and Fiancé Newel Kennerson, Jason J. Shaheen and wife Alyssa Shaheen; her grandchildren Gavin, Quynne, and Alivia; her sisters Pamela Powell and husband Mark Powell, Roberta Cupac and husband Danny Cupac. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Robert Charles and Marie Josephine Mulligan.
