Sandra Rickard Bowling(Sandi) of Franklin, GA passed away on January 29, 2017 at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, GA. She lost her short but valiant battle with cancer. Sandi was born in Thomasville, NC on November 12, 1959, to Ronald F.(Bud) Rickard and Vicki Holton Rickard. She graduated from T.W. Andrews High School in High Point, NC in 1977. Sandi was a member of the Beta Club & the National Honor Society. As an active member of the Art Club, she won many commendations and awards. Sandi attended East Carolina University and in 1983 she graduated from UNC-G in Greensboro, NC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After graduation she embarked on a career in Art and Graphic Design. Her last employment was for 10 years with Sign-A-Rama Designs in Newnan, GA. She was a long time member of Abbots Creek Baptist Church in High Point, NC. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Charlie Bowling of Franklin, GA. Also surviving are her Mother, Vicki Rickard of High Point, NC, her Father, Bud Rickard and wife Doris of Denton, NC and sister Rebecca Rickard of High Point, NC. Mother in-law Cathy Bowling of Newnan, GA. Brothers in-law Bob(Kathleen) of Hiawassee, GA. Bill(Cherry) of West Point Lake, GA. And Joe(Josie) of Bessemer City, NC. Sisters in-law Susan Oiler(Dick) of St. Augustine, FL. And Beverly Boone of Newnan, GA. Sandi also leaves behind two special cousins, Lisa Hurley and Robin Brown, whom she considered to be her sisters. Also left to mourn her loss are aunts, uncles and an array of cousins scattered from Apex, NC to Gainesville, GA and all points in between. We cannot forget her canine babies Rusty and Pickles.
