She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:26-31 Sandra Arnelia Tennell blessed her parents, Elizabeth Sykes Richardson and Aaron Richardson, Sr., with her birth on May 14, 1946, in Sanford, Florida. She was the second child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brother, Aaron, Jr. and her sisters, Rosella, Ida Mae, Ella Grace, Brenda, Rosemary, Carolyn, Lorraine, Joan and Gwendolyn. As a child, she loved dressing up and she had a million dollar smile. Sandra received her formal education by graduating from Crooms High School in Sanford, Florida. Sandra united in holy matrimony to Willie Lee Tennell. The couple first met when they both lived in Sanford, Fl. To this union, a beautiful baby girl they named Sabrina was born. Sabrina was born on Christmas day. She fondly remembers her mother as always having a special cake each year to celebrate her birthday. She was later blessed with four grandchildren, Neasha, Keasha, Dwayne, and Brianna; and three great grandchildren, Arianna, Aliyah, and Kameron. They remember her as a strong prayer warrior and her cooking on holidays. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. By profession, Sandra was a Chef. She was employed by the federal government. She was hard-working, dependable and took pride in preparation and presentation. She performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Sandra accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very early age. She believed in the power of prayer and that everyone should have the right relationship with the Lord.
