Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Goodman, 69 of O’Fallon, passed peacefully in her home on Monday, April 16, 2018, lovingly encircled by her family. She was born August 16, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Robert L. Perkins and Merle (Lane) Perkins. She lived her Christian faith as a Southern Baptist in simple devotion through words and acts of kindness to all she met. Her passions were planning and spending time together with her family and friends, traveling, bargain shopping for others, and capturing photos of special life moments.

She was a devoted to her work, coworkers and students at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville that became her “other family” and where she caringly worked as a much-loved food service employee for 20 years. She is survived by three children: Melissa Shelton and husband Daryl of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Chad Justice and wife Abbey of Freeburg, and Kyle Justice and beloved pet Razzie of O’Fallon; four grandchildren: Alyssa Fox, Tanner Shelton, Brennan Justice, and Keegan Justice; great-grandchild: Journey Renfrow; two sisters: Pam Marshall and husband Charlie of Centralia and Brenda Laughhunn and husband Linzy of Belleville; serval nieces and nephews: Tiffany Looman, Jessica Black, Linzy Laughhunn, and Philip Laughhunn; many cousins; special close friends: Nancy Lynch, Jeannie Krueger and so many more dear friends at SIUE.
