     Sandra Lee Strickland, 70, of Gooding, Idaho returned to live with her Heavenly Father on May 9, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

     She was born on February 16, 1950 in Burley, Idaho to Lyle and Betty (Satchwell) Adams.  They moved to Shoshone when she was 3 years old. She grew up on the dairy farm and stayed busy helping milk and feed the cows.  She enjoyed roller skating, going to dances and working as a waitress at the local Dairy Queen.  She attended school in Gooding where she was active in Choir, Future Business Leaders of America, Pep Club and the Twirling team.

     She married the love of her life, Larry Strickland, on October 7, 1967.  They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS temple.  They were blessed with four children – Brenda, Steven, Connie and Allen.  Sandra helped Larry on the farm.  She worked various other jobs before she settled in at State Farm Insurance.  She loved the challenging work and the many great friends she made over her 20 years there.

     Sandra loved serving others and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.

     Sandra is survived by: her children – Brenda (Joe) Worrell and Allen (Lindsey) Strickland of Pocatello, Steve (Marianne) Strickland of Idaho Falls and Connie (DJ) Shaw of Gooding; 13 grandchildren; her mother – Betty Adams; and her siblings – Roddy (Cheryl) Adams of Shoshone, Lyrene Warren of Twin Falls and Delila (Scott) Williams of Smiley Creek. 

     She was preceded in death by her husband – Larry; her father – Lyle Adams; and her infant grandson – Kolby Worrell.
