Sandra Jean LaRue Davidson (Sandy) died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her home of natural causes.

With her family living in Marsing, Idaho, Sandy was brought into this world by her proud parents, Bill and Leda LaRue August 7, 1948 in Nampa, Idaho. She was the sixth and youngest child in the LaRue household. She lived in Marsing until she was five years old when her family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada.

On December 10, 1963 she met her lifelong sweetheart, Leonard F. “Sonny”  Davidson, as she and her girlfriend Beth were cruising the boulevard in Beth’s Dad’s Model T Pickup with curlers in her hair but still looking really good.

The following year on August 12, 1964, Sandy married Sonny and from then on, they were known as the beach kids. As of the day they met and through the next 48 years you couldn’t ask for a more perfect relationship. To make it more perfect, their son, Richard Lynn Davidson (Rich), was born the following year.

Sandy and Sonny moved to California in 1968 and lived there for 25 years, and on to San Marcos, Texas for 5 years and then to Elko, Nevada in October 1998. Their final move was to Middleton, Idaho in December of 2011.

Sandy enjoyed a lot of things, but really enjoyed traveling the world and cherished riding motorcycles with her son and husband.

Sandy is well known for positively impacting people in their daily lives. She was blessed to wake up happy every day, and she used that blessing to enrich the people she was around.

Sandy loved the career path she chose in Hospital Administration and was the Human Resource Manager in several hospitals in Southern California and Texas. She made a difference in a lot of people’s lives. She retired after working for twenty five years in the industry and really got involved in other things, still making a difference in everyone’s life she came in contact with.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, A.W. “Bill” LaRue and Leda Cunningham LaRue and brother-in- law, Marcello Quilici of Winnemucca, Nevada

Sandy is survived by her husband Sonny; son Richard (Stephanie) of Kenai, Alaska; grandchildren Cole and Cara Davidson of Kenai, Alaska; sisters Shirlene (Richard) Ross of Parma, Idaho, Arlene (Jim) Starr of Friendswood, Texas, and Judy Quilici of Winnemucca, Nevada; brothers, Wayne (Barbara) LaRue of North Hills, California and Dennis (Bonnie) LaRue of Sunnyvale, California.

We would like to give a special thanks to St. Luke’s Cancer Center and St. Luke’s Hospice Care. They are wonderful, professional and caring facility and we can’t say thank you enough.
