Sandra L. Tackett, 69, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 12:35 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mrs. Tackett was born on May 17, 1948, in Pikeville, KY, to Crawford and Garnet (Thompson) Snodgrass. Her parents preceded her in death. Sandra married Timothy W. Tackett on September 4, 1993. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Sandra was a factory worker and worked many years for Pyle Industries, Wayne Metals and retired from M & S Sheet Metal over 7 years ago. Sandra enjoyed quilting, sewing and going bowling.
Sandra is survived by her husband and four sons, James (Melissa) Detamore, Warren, IN, Robin (Kimberly) Detamore, Berne, IN, Travis (Justine) Tackett, Fort Wayne, IN, Steven (Candace) Tackett, Berne, IN; two daughters, Kelly (Robert) Palmer, Andrews, IN, and Ginger (Shane) Fahrnow, Roanoke, IN. She is also survived by two brothers, Wade (Shelby) Maynard, MacArthur, OH, Robert (Alice) Snodgrass, Huntington, IN; four sisters, Clara (Arnold) Rife, Upper Sandusky, OH, Patricia Conley, Huntington, IN, Faye (Bill) Farrell, Harrisburg, IL, Leslie Johnson, Huntington, IN; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Greg Detamore; two brothers, Donald Snodgrass, Paul Snodgrass; and one sister, Phyllis Compton.
