Sandra Kaye Schroeder, 67, of South Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at her home.
She was born May 6, 1949, in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Herman W. and Mary Ruth Lewis Peukert Sr. She married Larry N. Schroeder on Dec. 13, 1969, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2013.
She is survived by one son, Chris (Diane) Schroeder of Jacksonville; one daughter, Sonya Schroeder of South Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Samantha Trueblood, Jessica (Jacob) Vignone, Kristen Schroeder and Justin Schroeder; two brothers, Donald (Vicky) Peukert of Warrenton, MO, and Steve (Mitzie) Pikert of South Jacksonville; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Pikert Jr. (surviving wife Donna of Mt. Vernon, MO).
Mrs. Schroeder was a 1967 graduate of Memphis (MO) High School. She retired in 2004 from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years employment. She was a member of First Christian Church in Memphis, MO. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Sandra especially loved her grandchildren.
