Sandra Kay (Wellner) Becker, 77, of LaSalle, formerly of Peru and Aurora, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Becker was born February 29, 1944 in Peru to Millwood and Philomena “Minnie” Wellner. She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School and Illinois State University. She married Robert Godhard Becker on August 26, 1964 in Carbondale.
Mrs. Becker worked as an educator and as a clerk in the retail and grocery industries. While in Aurora, she was a very active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sports and played fast-pitch softball and also enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She was also an avid collector.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; three sons, Blake Scott (Jennifer) Becker of Sterling, Greg Allyn (Deborah) Becker of Aurora and Richard Godhard Becker of Cape Coral, FL; six grandchildren, Nichole Becker, Aaron Mittman, Chayse Becker, Ryan Becker, Riley Becker and Alexander Becker; two great-grandchildren, Maddux Styles Mittman and Jaxon Russell Wolf; her mother, Minnie Wellner of Peru; her sister, Barbara (James) Ryba of Peru; her brother, Ronald (Nancy) Wellner of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Anne (Barry) Glick of Phoenix, AZ; a brother-in-law, Peter Becker of Glendale, AZ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Millwood Wellner and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Becker
