Sandra Jo “Sandy” Strain, 79, of Harrodsburg, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Bell Trace Health and Living. Sandy was born May 17, 1942, in Linton, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Hilda M. (Crum) Grubb. Sandy was employed for over 50 years at Indiana University where she was the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant with the School of Education. Sandy was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ, Clover Hill Cemetery Board, IU Varsity Club, and the Harrodsburg Heritage Days Festival where she served as Treasurer.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Deward E. Strain; 2 sons, Paul Strain and John Strain; sister, Katie Watson; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Strain, Nick Strain, Carter Strain, and Scarlett Strain; along with several nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.
