After traveling the world growing up in a military family Mrs. Mashburn moved to Atlanta and lived with her grandmother, Loretta Inman until meeting and marrying David Mashburn. Sandra and David married at Peachtree Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on July 20, 1969; the date that mankind first stepped on the Moon. They later settled in Marietta, GA where they raised their family. She was employed with Butler Shoe Corporation as an Administrative Assistant for many years and later was an auditor for Lifeway Christian Resources.
