Sandra “Sandy” (Graham) Harbeck, 76, of rural Oglesby, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2019, at Manor Court of Peru. Mrs. Harbeck was born on October 27, 1942, in Ottawa to Jerry and Eileen (Neidetcher) Graham.
She married Roger Urban “Buck” Harbeck on November 21, 1964, at St. Columba Church, Ottawa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the Pestalozzi School of Education at Northern Illinois University. Sandy was a school teacher for more than 34 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Utica. Sandy enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband; her children, Holly Letherman of Earlville, Lori (Bill) Baracani of Naples, FL, Thomas Harbeck of Ottawa and Brian Harbeck of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Adam and Clayton Baracani; one sister, Jerriann Rosenak of Washington and one brother, Randy Graham of Ottawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sheila Hughes. Pallbearers will be Adam and Clayton Baracani, Ryan Anderson, Mike O’Brein, Chris Armstrong, and John Higgins.
