Sandra Boothe
1953-2022
Our beloved sister, Sandra Boothe, 69, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at her home in Hooper, Utah. She was born on February 28, 1953, in Ogden, Utah to H. Lamont and Twila Peterson Boothe.
Sandy grew up in Ogden attending Gramercy Elementary, Highland Jr. High, and Ben Lomond High Schools. After graduating from high school, she attended Weber State University earning a BA degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Weber County schools for 34 years and loved her students. She touched and changed many lives through her teaching.
Sandy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and many other church organizations. She enjoyed speaking assignments at church and learning church history. She was crowned “Miss Wheelchair Utah” in 1978.
Sandy enjoyed many hobbies including cross stitch, other arts and crafts, reading, scripture study, and singing.
Sandy is survived by her sisters, Vicki Lynn (Frank) Johnson, Sharon (W. Grant, deceased) Seegmiller; brothers, Duane (Linda) and Kevin; multiple nieces and nephews; grand nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis; brother-in-law, W. Grant Seegmiller; and nephew, Mark Seegmiller.
A special thanks to all who loved, cared, and ministered to her including the Visiting Angels, Inspiration Hospice, and all her Hooper neighbors and friends.
