Sandra Ava Ausburn, age 67, of Albany, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. She was born on December 21, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Juanita Nix; grandparents, O.G. and Fannie Headrick; and a brother, Randall Staten. She is survived by her brother and sister in law, David and Rita Staten of Chatsworth; sister and brother in law, Linda and James McCulloch of Chatsworth; uncle, Cecile Headrick of Dalton; special friend, Glenda Tomayko of Atlanta; she will be fondly remembered and missed by her longtime care giver, Ms. Barbara Fowler, she and Ms. Ausburn were very close. Sandra was a part of the Albany Advocacy Resource Agency in Albany Georgia for more than a decade. She was enrolled in one of the several programs within the agency. She also worked at Adult Day for many years as a receptionist and all agreed she did a phenomenal job. She also loved horses and it is reported by Cleola Fudge, who worked with her many years that this was a highlight of her day when they went to see the animals with horses being her favorite. One of her other pastimes was reading and looking at the A.M.C Channel on the weekends when she was not out and about in the community. The entire A.R.C family who had the pleasure of working with Sandra fondly remembers her and will miss her but with fond memories.
