Fla. — Sandra A. “Sandy” Sherven, 75, of Venice and also of Elkhart, Ind., passed away at 8:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Tidewell Hospice/Venice Hospice House in Venice following an extended illness. She was born March 3, 1940, in Muskegon, Mich., to the late Charles and Rosemary (Harvey) Jensen. She later married Gordon L. Sherven on Nov. 17, 2007, in Elkhart. He survives her at home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Joyce (fiancé James Maggart) Long of Venice, Julie (Allen) Boggs of Elkhart and Donna (Mike) Long of Bristol, Ind.; stepdaughter Marilyn (Brian) VanHarlingen of Torrence, Calif.; stepson Gordon L. Jr. (Tami) Sherven of Elkhart; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-stepgrandson.
Preceding her in death were her former spouse, David Ray, and sisters Margaret Schaner, Lena Horne and Gladys Panis.
