Samuel Spaw, age 68, unexpectantly passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. We will miss his quick wit, hardy laugh and gentle nature. He is survived by two sisters (Bonnie and Sue), one brother (Joe); his beautiful and loving wife of almost 50 years, Shiela; and their three children (Dawn, Damien and Athena) and their extended families.
Sam was a veteran of the Air Force traveling with his family to many exciting destinations including Bismarck, ND., the Philippines, Glendale, Az., and Las Vegas, NV. After serving 15 years, the family moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he began his 2nd career as a Field Engineer for BAE Systems (and it’s many name changes) for 30+ years. He retired to the sofa and TV Westerns in 2019. He enjoyed Papa life, the news and brews and the devotion of his wife and family. He was a steadfast and lifelong Steeler’s fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Geraldine, and his older brother, Jim. He will be missed immensely and with great love.
