Samuel L. “Sam” Pierce, 51, of Bruceville, IN, passed away January 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1962 in Olney, IL the son of Dr. William J. Pierce M.D. and Genevieve “Jenny” Grites Pierce.
He was a 1980 graduate of North Knox High School and was a truck driver. He was an avid history enthusiast, with a special emphasis on WW II and he enjoyed building model cars, planes, rockets, woodworking and marker art.
He is survived by a daughter, Samantha Pierce of Bruceville, IN, his mother, Genevieve “Jenny” Pierce of Bruceville, IN, 4 brothers, William J. Pierce III of Indianapolis, IN, John M. Pierce, and his wife Mary of Indianapolis, IN, Jeffery J. Pierce, and his wife Shereen of Bruceville, IN and Charles D. Pierce of Dennison, IL. A nephew, Hunter Pierce and his faithful companion, Max the dog also survive.
