Born in Santa Fe, NM September 7, 1943, our dear father passed from this life to be with our Lord and our mother on Friday, September 28, 2012. He was a Veteran and served his country during the Vietnam War in the Branch of the Navy.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Judy A. Montoya, his father Samuel D. Montoya and mother Emilia Montoya Duran, sister Dolores Marquez, and grandson Richard Matthew Montoya. He is survived by his children Maria Christina Montoya, Jacqueline Vigil and Durwin Perea, Samuel R. Montoya Jr. and wife Jeanine; sisters Maria Moya and Jaime Bravo, Theresa Smith and husband Randy; grandchildren Frank Vigil Jr., Samantha Montoya, Allegra Mejia, Jeremiah Vigil, and Marea Mejia; Uncle Ramon Montoya and Helen, and Aunt Lucy Ortega and husband George; Aunt Grace Lopez and husband Ramon, Aunt Helen Pena and husband Paul; several very special nieces and nephews and many Godchildren
