Samuel R. Kulp, Jr., age 100 years, of Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Wieder) Kulp who passed away in 2007. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Samuel R. Kulp, Sr. and Katie (Bierman) Kulp. He was a 1933 graduate of Lehigh University and was a 1929 graduate of Liberty High School, where he and his relay team set a Liberty High School record at the Penn Relays that year. This record stood for many, many years. He was a member of Rosemont Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: Daughter, Nancy Shaver and her husband Thomas of Vero Beach, FL and Landenberg, PA; 2 grandchildren Robert T. Shaver Jr. and his wife Joanne of Hockessin, DE; Elizabeth A. Shaver and her husband Philip Carino of Hudson, OH and 5 great grandchildren.
