Samuel M. Alia, 78, of Suwanee, GA (formerly of Newbury Park, CA & Lodi, NJ), passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Sam was born on March 4th, 1942 to Rosario and Maria Leonora “Eleanor” (Infante) Alia in Hackensack, NJ.
He graduated from Lodi H.S. in 1960, received his BA from Montclair State University in 1979, and earned his MBA at California Lutheran University in 1991. Sam was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
His lifelong career was in the defense industry as a Pricing Manager for Northrop Grumman.
Sam was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former parishioner and usher for many years at Saint Julie Billiart Catholic Church in Newbury Park, CA. Sam’s interests included camping and baseball card & coin collecting. He was an avid fan of the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers.
He was predeceased by both of his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debi; his four children, Shaun (Mai-Anh), Jonathan (Jennifer), Michael (Nancy) & Allison (Tony) Chaulk; his sister Frances (Mario) Marino and his sister-in-law Sherri (Jeff) Brown. He also has seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a niece, and many cousins and friends.
