Samuel L. Smith, affectionately known as Sam passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his home.
Sam was the oldest son of the late Bishop Lawrence and Margaret Anderson. He was born on March 24, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia.
He worked at the Commander Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland for 18 years as a stock clerk. He also worked in the maintenance field for Weaver’s Liquors for over 25 years until his health began to fail him.
He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Mary of North East, Maryland; one son, Curtis Bryant and his wife Gail of Perryville, Maryland; two grandsons, Jawan and Anthony Bryant both of Perryville, Maryland; one brother, James Smith of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Julia Hill of Maryanna, Florida; and Eva Nell Bryant of St. Petersburg, Florida; nine nephews; six nieces and a host of other relatives friends and extended family.
