Samuel Lee Miller, 25, of New London, MO, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in rural Quincy from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Jan. 15, 1985, the son of Angela Surratt and Randy Miller. He is survived by his mother and father who raised him, Gary and Angela Surratt DeJaynes of Gautier, MS; his biological father of Quincy; one brother and three sisters, Brandon (Laken Henderson) Miller, Erica Potter (fiancé Chris Kearly) and Amber DeJaynes, all of Gautier, MS, and Katherine DeJaynes of Pittsfield; niece and nephew Jacy and Tavien Miller; and grandparents, Carolyn Hurst of Gautier, MS, Tim and Jan Surratt of Jacksonville, Wanda Sneeden of Ocean Springs, MS, Roy DeJaynes of St. Charles, MO, and Viola Miller of Golden. He was preceded in death by grandparents Bob Hurst, Bill Sneeden and Ethan Miller, Sr.
Mr. Miller was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. He was an assistant manager at Abel’s Quick Shop in Hannibal, MO. Everyone who met Sam loved him, and he never knew a stranger. The most important thing to him was his family.
