Samuel L. Kreter, 58, Frankton, died April 22, 2002 at Ball Memorial Hospital-Muncie. He went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness. He was born April 29, 1943, in Gasconade County, Missouri, and lived in Alexandria, Indiana. He retired from Delphi E Division of General Motors Plant 20 after 27 years of service. He was Maintenance Supervisor for Crown Pointe Retirement Center.

He also coordinated church services for Crown Pointe once a month. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the church choir. He was a Sunday School Ministry Leader. He constructed puppets and was a puppeteer for the church. He was an avid Bowhunter, fisherman and was a craftsman of traditional hunting bows. He loved his family dearly and sacrificially and was an inspiration to those who knew him.

He loved to garden and share his crops with friends and family. Survivors are his wife of 33 years: Diane E. Dyer Kreter of Frankton. Mother: Eunice I. Talbot Wright of Anderson. Daughter: Karrie Anne & husband Jon Pardieck of Muncie. Son: Justin Samuel & wife Hoi Kreter of Elwood. Sister: Connie & husband Kim Thompson of Houston, TX . Mother-in-law: Beth Dyer of Anderson. Cousins: Becky Giles and Alan Kreter both of Jefferson City, MO. Uncles: C.H. & wife Dixie Talbot of Escondito, CA and Don Talbot of New Florence, MO. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Umberger of Muncie, Kiley Pardieck of Muncie, Kien Justin Samuel ”K.J.” Kreter of Elwood. Special friends: Virgil & Jane Brown. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Emil L. Kreter.
