Samuel Jacob Walker, Sr., age 94, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013. Born in Hardin, MO, on November 4, 1919, he was the son of Samuel J. and Lillian Shaw Walker. A longtime Boerne resident, he had been a member of the Baptist Church. He had been an employee of Butler Manufacturing for over 25 years. In his retirement years, he continued to use his creative engineering ideas in many ways. Preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister, Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Walker; children, Samuel Jacob Walker, Jr and his wife, Yvonne, Sandra Joyce Nelson and her husband, Oscar; and Stephen John Walker and his wife, Theresa; grandchildren, Wendee Lee Mueller, Samuel Jacob Walker, III, Brian Eric Walker, Amy Lynn Zorn, and Oscar Nelson, Jr.; great grandsons, Colin Douglas Zorn and Jacob Malone Zorn.
