HARLINGEN, TX. –
Samuel G. Garcia, 68, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Harlingen, Texas to Manuel P. and Raquel Garcia. Samuel was a lifetime resident of Harlingen who graduated HHS Class of 1967. Shortly after high school he enlisted in the military, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the church choir at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, and belonged to other various church organizations.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Raquel Garcia; brothers, Miguel, Eriberto, and Nicolas Garcia.
Samuel is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, brothers, Raul (Carmen), Manuel (Wanda), Lupe (Eva), Celestino (Gloria), and Oscar Garcia; sisters, Maria de Lourdes “Lulu” (David) Anaya and Dora (Seferino) Cortez; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and two aunts.
