Samuel Ellis Dillman, age 47, of Manassas, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Prince William Hospital. He was born on June 3, 1968 in Marion, VA the son of William J. and Donna (Hutton) Dillman, Sr. From a young age, Sam was very athletic, and he excelled at many sports. As a man, Sam played a lot of softball, and was an avid runner. One of his greatest joys was coaching travel soccer for many years and being like a second dad to many of the “Hot Shot” girls that he coached. Sam also loved to fish and enjoyed going to the beach with his family. He worked for Classic Hardwoods and he was a true master in his craft of floor laying. He loved God and his family with his whole heart and he was a very kind and generous person. He will forever be remembered and cherished in our hearts as a devoted husband and a very loving and giving father and grandfather. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Susan A. Dillman; his two beautiful daughters that he adored, Melinda Workman and husband Justin of Gainesville, VA and Shannon Dillman of Manassas, VA; and the apple of his eye granddaughter, Savannah “Tiny” Workman; parents, William J. and Donna Dillman, Sr.; three brothers, Jeff Dillman, Billy Dillman and Cory Dillman; one sister, Julie Dillman.
