Samuel Donnie McClain, age 79, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Piedmont Fayetteville Hospital surrounded by family. He was born July 17, 1937 to the late James Homer McClain and Grace Ashley McClain. Mr. McClain retired after 23 years at Abrams Fixture Corporation and then became a personal business owner, providing whirlpool tubs for many home builders in the Newnan area until full retirement. He was a member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. McClain battled numerous health issues in later years but maintained his wit and sharp mind until the end. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Douglas McClain. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ricketts McClain; children, Sandra Mann and her husband Scott, Denise Pritchett and her husband Chris; grandchildren, Russ Pritchett and his fiance Rachel Morris, Leslie Pritchett and Abbey Mann. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
