Sameera Nelson, age 83, of Pataskala, formerly of Columbus, passed away on March 24, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Sameera was born on January 14, 1934 to the late Saleem and Lena (Taylor) Rahhal in Wichita, Kansas. Sameera was a very special person of many talents such as music, oil painting and writing. She has touched so many lives with her loving personality and compassion for others. She made her mark here on earth by her notoriety on Radio stations, television and her volunteer work. But will never be forgotten for her sense of humor, her love, her guidance, her generosity, her courage, her strength and fighting spirit and her love for cooking. Sameera is survived by her loving husband, Orval Nelson; children, Jay (Ginger) Nelson, Gregory Nelson, , Angela Nelson, Pamela Nelson, Christopher Nelson; grandchildren, Liza, Todd (Melanie) Nelson, Mason, Chancellor, Bryce; brother, Dr. Don Rahhal; sisters, Jacquie Wilmeth, Patricia Rahhal; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Rahhal.
