Sam Guadagnoli, 71, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on September 11th, due to complications from cancer.
The way he died, is just like he lived: he fought authority every step of the way and he did it on his own terms. If you said he couldn’t do something, he would and at least five different ways to do it, to not only prove you wrong, but more importantly to prove that he was right.
He was a stubborn Italian man with a heart of gold. He would fight you and for you at the same time.
He lived ten lifetimes in the 71 years we had with him because he attacked life; he grabbed it by the horns, gave it a kiss, and swung it back onto the dance floor.
People always speak about him being a businessman, but he was so much more than that to his family and friends. He was a man that would do anything for the people he loved and for his community. He was generous, selfless and never hesitated to help someone in need. He was a man who believed that no matter what was going on, family should always come first.
He was a proud husband to his wife/business partner Kathy, of 45 years. They shared a once in a lifetime kind of love. They spent every day together, working side by side, building a family legacy. They were best friends, and he was fiercely protective over her, their children, and their grandchildren.
