Mr. Martin was born May 10, 1919 in Pennsylvania, son of the late Michael and Catherine Martin. Sam was raised in Bridgeport and was a graduate of Bridgeport Central High School and was involved in CCC Camps. He had served honorably in the United States Army and the United States Navy.
